Wayzata, Minnesota -- Healthier Choice, a Dalton, GA-based premium carpet-cushion manufacturer, has begun using Cargill's BiOH polyols in its underlay products.
The company is the first carpet-cushion manufacturer to use BiOH polyols in its foam underlay products and sees the partnership with Cargill as "a logical step in creating greener choices for retailers."
"Incorporating BiOH polyol foam underlayment is a positive step for retailers and consumers who want sustainability, eco-friendly features and greener options to incorporate into homes," said Craig Poteet, president of Healthier Choice, in a 13 Feb statement.
"We are thrilled to become the first carpet-cushion manufacturer to partner with BiOH polyols to further reduce our carbon footprint and create a healthier living environment for consumers," he added.
Healthier Choice product containing the BiOH polyols will be sold in Home Depot stores in the US, under the brand Platinum Plus ECO carpet cushion, a private label owned by Home Depot, from the beginning of March.
