Washington, DC – Imports of footwear to the US rose by 2.6% in February 2021 compared with February 2019.

At 186.4m units that is 4.8m more than February 2019.
So far this year, the US has imported 370.0m pairs of footwear. By the same time last year, that number stood at 404.4m units. This is a 8.5% fall.
The biggest source of imports in February was China , which supplied 114.2m pairs. China was followed by Vietnam with 44.9m pairs, Indonesia 9.5m pairs, Cambodia 5.1m pairs, and, India with 2.2m pairs.
In total top five sources of imports accounted for 94.4% of all the imports in February.
