Washington, DC – Imports of footwear to the US rose by 32.2% in January 2022 to 242.8m pairs. This is 20m more than in January 2021.
US Footwear imports grew in January 2022
The biggest source of imports in January was China, which supplied 167.1m pairs. China was followed by Vietnam with 38.6m pairs, Indonesia 14.2m with pairs, Cambodia 7.0m pairs, and India with 2.8m pairs.
In total, the top five sources of imports accounted for 94.6% of all the imports in January. This is marginally less than the 94.7% share recorded in this month last year.
