Eastlake, Ohio -- Good news for American homeowners wishing that their homes were more comfortable and their utility bills lower is that they can get up to a $500 tax credit thanks to a provision in the "Fiscal Cliff" bill that was passed 2 Jan 2013, according to a press release from USA Insulation.
According to Patrick Pitrone, president of the Eastlake, Ohio-headquartered spray foam supplier, "We have specialists on staff to answer any questions and provide forms to help homeowners get the most from the incentive programme."
Not all insulation products qualify for the tax credit. It must meet strict government standards for energy efficiency. "There are many reasons why our Premium Foam qualifies for the tax rebate," said Pitrone. He quoted R values of up to a 35 percent higher than other types of insulation for greater energy efficiency.
And, because it goes in as a liquid, it gets into spaces that most other insulation can't - behind wires, pipes, electrical outlets, and other obstacles." Premium Foam is also eco-friendly for a safer, healthier home environment, the company claims.
"We insulated over 3000 homes throughout the US when the tax credit was originally in effect and we expect to be very busy again in the coming year," said Pitrone.
USA Insulation now expects a strong response to this repeat savings incentive, said Pitrone.
