Washington, DC – The number of US building permits issued in the first ten months of 2019 was down by 1.78% at 13.05 m. In the first ten months of 2019 a total of 13.28 m were issued.
A total of 1.31m permits were issued in October 2019 This is 237,000 less than in October 2018. But, looking at consecutive months, it equates to a 2.58% rise compared with September 2019.
The figures from the United States Census Bureau relate to the seasonally adjusted total number of New Residential Construction Permits issued in the most recently reported month.
The figure for last month has been revised down from 1.387m units. The September figure is now estimated at 1.266 m units.
