Washington, DC – In February 2021 the US imported 961,000 mattresses. This is down by 41%, at 666,000 fewer than the February 2020 figure.
US mattress imports kept on falling in February
The year-to-date total of mattresses imported to the US is 2.19 m. This is a 41% fall compared with the same timeframe in 2019. So far in 2020 ,the US has imported 1.31m fewer mattresses.
The largest source of imports to the US in February was Indonesia, which provided 231,000 mattresses. Mexico came second with 190,000 units, Turkey was third with 105,000, and Taiwan fourth, with 82,000.
In February 2020, the largest source of imports was Indonesia, at 392,000 units. Vietnam with, 321,000, was second. Malaysia was third, and accounted for 194 ,000 units.
