Washington, DC - In January 2020 the US imported 1.88m mattresses. This is up by 39% or 128,000 more than were imported in January 2019.
In January, Vietnam, which provided 451,304 mattresses, was the largest source. That country was followed by Indonesia with 3856,000 units, Malaysia with 205,000 and Thailand 157,000 units. The top five exporting nations to the US, which no longer includes Canada or Mexico, sourced 1.34m units of the January total.
In January 2019, the picture was different, China generated 1.01m mattresses which were imported to the US. This was followed by Mexico with 135,000 units. Vietnam was third and accounted for 42,000 thousand units. In total, the five largest sources of imports accounted for 1.25m units of
