Washington, DC – In January 2022, the US imported 1.53m mattresses. This is up by 16%, or 294,000 more than were imported in January 2021.
US mattress imports up by a sixth in January 2022
The largest source of imports to the US in January was Indonesia, which provided 438,000 mattresses. Mexico came second with 267,000 units, Kosovo was third with 148,000 units and Taiwan fourth, with 141,000 units of the January total. The fifth largest source in January was Vietnam, which was responsible for 114,486 units.
In January 2021 the largest source of imports was Turkey which generated 255,000 units. Mexico with 194,000 units was second. Vietnam was third and accounted for 172,000 units.
