Loudon, Tennessee -- The US Polyurethane Foam Association (PFA)has grown membership by 30% in the past year, according to the PFA.
Joe Progar, PFA president said his association had gained three new US flexible polyurethane foam producers, eight new associate/supplier members, and four new federated members. Progar, who is also executive vice president of Advanced Urethane Technologies added: "PFA's strategic work addressing legislative and regulatory threats is vital to our industry. It's no secret that the pressure is on from regulatory groups and PFA is best equipped to take on those challenges," Progar added.
Since announcing its (PFA) has gained several new members from Canada and Brazil and flexible polyurethane foam producers from other Panamerican countries are expected to join soon.
The PFA said that in 2012 over 1bn lbs (454kt) of flexible polyurethane foam were produced by US foam producers.
