Charleroi, Pennsylvania - The polyurethane millwork brand of US company Life-Time Poly-Millwork is to be combined into the brand of its sister company Focal Point Products Inc., owner RAS Industries announced 17 Nov. The move will give a single Focal Point name for interior, exterior and fabricated parts and "will strengthen marketing and sales," and simplify ordering for customers, RAS said.
The change will mean Focal Point becomes the second largest polyurethane millwork manufacturer in the US, the group added, pointing out that Focal Point's brand is recognised widely by builder/distributor wholesale markets, and in retail and internet outlets.
Focal Point will in future offer its existing interior PU millwork parts along with the exterior PU architectural details and customised and speciality fabrication parts that were previously offered under Life-Time Poly-Millwork's name, in a move that takes effect 1 Jan 2010.
"Life-Time Poly-Millwork and Focal Point have each played a vital role in the formation and growth of the polyurethane millwork industry since the 1970's," said Afshan Khan, ceo of RAS Industries, in the company statement. "Combining them under a single brand name is a great way for us to show our continued commitment to the industry and our strength as the second largest manufacturer of polyurethane millwork in the US," she added.
"We realise the value of the Focal Point name and the reputation it carries for quality which is why we are extending it to our exterior, custom and specialty product lines as well," said Khan.
All business functions will be consolidated between the two brands, while the existing network of sales representatives will continue to serve their customers and manufacturing facilities will remain in the US, India and China.
