Washington, DC – In November 2020, the US imported 1.5m refrigerators. This is up by 154%, or 896,000 units, on November 2019.
US refrigerator imports leapt 154% in November
The year-to-date total of refrigerators imported to the US is 11.16 m. This is a 51% rise compared with 2019. So far in 2020, the US has imported 6.46m more units.
The largest source of imports to the US in November was China, which provided 1.4m refrigerators. Thailand, at 32,0000 units, was the second largest source, followed by Mexico with a total of 22,500 units. Canada was the fourth largest originating nation, with 11,000.
In November 2019, the largest source of imports was China, which generated 518,000 units. Mexico with 19,000 units was the second largest source. Turkey was the third largest exporter to the US, and accounted for almost 10,000 units.
