Washington, DC – In the first 10 months of 2019, the US imported 5.88m refrigerators. This is down by 8.63m units on the 14.5m imported in the same period in 2018, a 59.5% fall.
The largest source of imports was China, which provided 5.25m refrigerators. It was followed by Mexico with 227,000 units, Canada with 80,000 units, and Turkey with 61,000 units in the year to date.
In October 2019, the US imported a total of 619,000 refrigerators. This is down by 65% on the same month in 2018. It amounts to a fall of 1.17m units
The largest source of imports to the US was in October 2019 was China, with 552,000 units.
