Based in Huludao, Liaoning, Fangda produced 70kT polyols last year with a 170kT/year total capacity planned. Polyol business made CNY 200m ($30m) revenue in 2015. The company also manufactures a series of other chemicals such as chlor-alkali and propylene oxide.
“Our polyol sales over the first half of 2016 is also better than expected,” said the company’s sales director Wang Zuocheng. “It is still a burgeoning segment in China.”
Low VOC products were particularly popular last year, Wang added.
