Charlotte, North Carolina -- UTECH North America exhibitors were impressed by the standard and number of visitors to the exhibition during the 4 – 5 June event.
The conference and exhibition provided a forum for global polyurethane industry players to present their systems, processes and innovations to a targeted audience.
As the event came to a close, representatives from companies showcasing their capabilities and innovations told Urethanes Technology International magazine that they were satisfied with the quality of leads UTECH NA 2014 had presented.
Paulo Spinelli, managing director of machinery maker Cannon’s US, told Urethanes Technology International magazine that by comparison with the company’s experience of other US exhibitions UTECH NA 2014 had been “better than expected.”
“It has been a dramatic improvement on UTECH 2010," he said.
Commenting on the potential for real deals with visitors Spinelli added: “What we found is that 90% have come with a specific interest. The US is really investing in its polyurethane industry and that has been reflected here at this event.”
Hennecke Inc’s sales engineer John Tolley said the event had attracted all the key players within the global polyurethane industry. That is why we value the opportunity to present here so much, he said.
“We had several appointments already scheduled because this event is such a convenient place to meet.
“In terms of traffic, it has been OK and we consider the show to have been a good use of our time,” he added.
On the polyurethane additives side, bio-succinic acid producer Myriant's executive assistant for sales and marketing Cindy Hottlemanbsaid the firm was pleased with the turnout and how smoothly the event had gone.
She said there had been a sense of ease of access both for exhibitors and visitors which worked well.
