Jyväskylä, Finland – Valmet has invested in new equipment for polyurethane and composite covering at its roll service centre in Finland. The investment will also allow the company to prepare for stricter environmental regulations.

‘The new equipment increases the sustainability of our operations in terms of reduced waste and better energy efficiency, and creates cost savings,’ said Marko Lassila, Valmet’s director of service operations in Finland. ‘Furthermore, the production process becomes more flexible, giving us the possibility to shorten lead terms.’
According to the company’s general operations manager for rolls in Finland, Pekka Kruus, the investment will also allow the company to bring new roll covers to the market, as well as maintaining high product quality.
