Düsseldorf, Germany - Vancive Medical Technologies showcased a new range of sterile wound dressings made with a protective polyurethane top film at the recent Medica 2012 medical trade fair.
The dressings, part of the BeneHold absorbent wound dressing portfolio, are made to manage lightly to moderately exuding chronic and acute wounds. The dressings are made of a self-adherent wound contact layer and a smooth, water-resistant polyurethane top film that acts as a barrier to external contaminants and bacteria, Chicago, Illinois-headquartered Vancive said in a 27 Nov news release.
"Our new wound dressings exhibit superior fluid handling capacity, yet are thinner and more conformable to enhance patient comfort," commented Barbara Van Rymenam, Vancive global market segment manager. "We offer the dressings in a variety of formulations and constructions to suit different wound types and conditions."
The new dressings meet ISO 10993 bio-compatibility standards for use as medical devices, Vancive added.
