Rockland, Massachusetts -- Speciality tapes group Venture Tape Corp. has named Dan McPhail head of its VentureShield Product group.
McPhail, who has been a product manager for the line for the past several years, will now be the chief liaison for VentureShield, a clear thermoplastic urethane film giving protection on paint surfaces. This is Venture Tape's leading paint-protection film. It can be applied to the hoods, fenders and other vulnerable areas of cars, RVs (recreational vehicles), motorcycles, boats and trucks.
Venture Tape Corp. said the VentureShield line, made from 100-percent aliphatic resin, "is known for its abrasion resistance and ability to resist yellowing."
VentureShield recently formed a partnership with Graphtec, the world's largest supplier of plotters, following which the two groups have created a package combining the paint protection film, Graphtec Plotting Systems and "Invisible Patterns I.P. Pro-Web Edition" software.
This software has patterns for "virtually every model car and motorcycle available on the global market, said the company statement, adding that customers can also use the software to generate marketing materials such as brochures and catalogues, as well as customised estimates and invoices.
"The package is ideal for cutting paint-protection film, window tint film and graphics," said the firm.
Venture Tape makes a wide range of speciality tapes including automotive protective tapes, conductive types, double and single coated foam tapes, industrial and medical types and insulation tapes.
