Darmstadt, Germany – Vibracoustic and Benteler, a chassis company, have formed a strategic partnership for electric vehicles.
The goal is to enable Benteler to make noise, vibration and ride harshness (NVH) optimised chassis systems for electric vehicles. The partners hope to be able to provide front- and rear-axle systems that meet the needs of OEMs.
Customers will benefit from shorter time to market and products that can be easily modified for a wide range of chassis. It will also help them simplify production.
'We need use an agile collaboratives network approach with partners like Vibracoustic to develop our e-mobility solutions,' said Marco Kollmeir, vice president of electro-mobility at Benteler.
Vibracoustic's CEO Frank Mueller added: 'We can offer customers a pre-validated front and rear-axle system which is already tuned for great driving comfort and handling.'
In addition, Vibracoustic's range of microcellular PU NVH components are likely to feature in the components. The company makes suspension components in a range of different rubber and polyurethane formulations.
