Munich, Germany -- VIP - Voelkel Industrie Produkte GmbH - will showcase its range of polyurea coating technologies at the forthcoming UTECH Europe 2012 exhibition in Maastricht, the Netherlands.
The coatings industry has come a long way from brushes and buckets to arrive at revolutionary polymer resins, VIP said in a news release. Polyurea has extremely fast gel-times, and is VOC-free and "friendly to the environment."
VIP of Munich, Germany, said it is convinced that with pure polyurea, and the existing level of quality, new benchmarks will be set in the coatings
industry.
VIP will use the UTECH show in Maastricht to highlight a number of new products in its polyurea quickspray range, which can be applied by high pressure spray units, making it a mobile system. Within seconds all hotsprays build a "vinyl like" elastic skin, according to VIP.
It claims its Supreme LSE product is extremely anti-grip and offers a very low surface energy. It will additionally resist puncture tears and is highly impact resistant even in highly abrasive environments.
Supreme AL, an aliphatic hot spray one-coat system, will protect against corrosion, has excellent resistance to heat distortion and sagging by maintaining its flexibility and shape can replace conventional gelcoats, which even makes it ideal for applications in the chemical as well as food and beverage industry, VIP noted.
The company's new Supreme F hot spray polyurea emits no toxic fumes and has non-dripping flame retardancy, making it an "ideal choice" in flame-sensitive areas like tunnels, train interiors and furniture industries, according to the German firm.
VIP will showcase these and other products in its portfolio at UTECH Europe 2012, being held 17-19 April in Maastricht, the Netherlands.
