The Woodlands, Texas -- Huntsman Corp. announced 13 Sept that its Vitrox composite polyurethane resin has been recognised as a finalist in the Center for the Polyurethanes Industry's (CPI) 2012 Polyurethane Innovation Award.
This award recognise companies and individuals whose dedicated efforts bring new products, technologies and initiatives to the marketplace.
Attendees at the 2012 Polyurethanes Technical Conference, which runs 24-26 Sept in Atlanta, Georgia will have the opportunity to vote for one of the finalists during the conference's opening session. The winner will be announced during the closing session.
"Vitrox resins truly qualify as a forward-thinking advancement for the industry," said Keith Day, Vice President Global Business Development, Huntsman Polyurethanes, noting that they are the world's first polyurethanes-based pipe-repair resins in a cure-in-place process, a process that is more affordable, efficient and environmentally friendly compared to traditional pipe-repair methods.
