Plymouth, Michigan – Chongqing Yanfeng Johnson Controls Automotive Components (CQYFJC) a Johnson Controls automotive seating joint ventures has won a Volvo Cars Quality Excellence Award.
The company’s new Chengdu plant was recognized for its outstanding quality performance for seats used in Volvo S60L and Volvo XC60 vehicles. The plant was rated “excellent” in 11 performance indexes.
CQYFJC was formed in October 2003 as a joint venture between Shanghai Yanfeng Johnson Controls Seating and Chongqing Bo’ao Industry.
Johnson Controls says CQYFJC supplies a range of automotive components, including metal structures, foam, head restraints, trim, and overhead systems, as well as complete seat systems.
It has around 3,000 employees and 10 manufacturing plants and supplies auto brands including Volvo, Changan, Changan Ford, Changan Suzuki, Changan PSA and Beijing Auto Yinxiang.
