Yantai, Shandong - Wanhua disclosed on December 29 it has started up the 300kT/year TDI(toluene diisocyanate) facilities at its industrial park in Yantai, Shandong.
'[The project] was recently completed and put in operation and has been making qualified products,' said Wanhua's statement.
'[Its inauguration] helps the company improve its industrial chain and will further raise its competitivity in the polyurethane sector,' the statement added.
The project was first announced in 2009 as part of the company's old facility relocation program. Wanhua signed engineering design and procurement contracts for the project in 2015.
