Mississauga, Ontario -- The Woodbridge Group has announced a moulded foam jv with Guangzhou Automobile Group Component (GACC).
The joint venture will focus on moulded polyurethane foam for automotive seat cushioning, head restraints and armrests. The jv name will be Woodbridge GSK High Polymer Technology.
Greg Yan, general manager China operations, The Woodbridge Group, said: "We are excited about GACC's fast growth to date, and it's publicly announced investment plan to grow total vehicle sales from 1.9m units in 2015 to three million by 2020.
“GACC has become a very important auto parts enterprise in south China. This is a significant milestone for Woodbridge Asia-Pacific business, as we continue to drive OEM relevance and direct sales in the region. GACC has many joint ventures and partnerships such as Fiat, Chrysler, Toyota and Honda, so we are very excited about this major event."
Guangzhou Automobile Group Component serves Guangzhou's growing automotive industry and cooperates with several world-famous auto parts enterprises with many joint ventures.
GACC's products include automobile seats and sound insulators. It supplies directly to vehicle manufactures such as Guangzhou Honda, Dongfeng Honda, Dongfeng Nissan, Dongfeng Citroen, Hainan Mazda and Guangzhou Toyota.
GACC also exports to the US, Germany and throughout Asia, according to The Woodbridge Group.
