Mississauga, Ontario -- Woodbridge Form Corp. will close one of its automotive parts plants, two years after the plant had received a reprieve from previous closure plans.
The Corunna, Ontario, plant now employs 75 people and slowing auto production numbers prompted the Mississauga-based firm to shut it down, according to a 2 Nov announcement.
Woodbridge had planned to close the plant in 2007 - when it employed nearly 190 people - but changed its plans when members of the Canadian Auto Workers union agreed to new concessions.
Woodbridge makes a variety of foam products, including expanded foam energy absorbers used in bumpers and seat foam.
