Mississauga, Ontario – Woodbridge has officially opened its new manufacturing facility in Tianjin, China. The 5400m2 site will make moulded form to support its customers in the region. It is the company’s fourth Chinese factory.
Woodbridge (Tianjin) Automotive Components is located within the city’s free trade zone. It has been built using the same principles of safety, environment and sustainability it is implementing at its other sites.
The company says it is already launching production for a key global customer. It aims to ramp up additional production in the coming months.
‘This site will serve as an important plant for our operations within the region,’ said Kai Jacobsen, president of Woodbridge’s moulded foam division. ‘[It will allow] us to keep up with the anticipated market growth along with our commitment to engineering systems for the consumer experience through superior comfort, acoustics and craftsmanship in a socially responsible way.’
