San Antonio, Texas - XPEL Technologies Corp., a US-based manufacturer and distributor of automotive paint and headlamp protection products has signed a letter of intent to acquire El Dorado Hills, California-based ArmourfendCAD, Inc.
The transaction, which is subject to regulatory approval "is another important step forward for our company," said Steven McAuley, XPEL's ceo, in a 16 Oct statement statement.
Founded in the UK in 1996 by Bob Jackson, Armourfend is a design house for the paint protection industry. Its pattern house contains an extensive library of patterns for both North American and European models, according to XPEL's statement.
"Armourfend's technical proficiency in pattern design, training programmes and installation capability adds another competitive advantage for XPEL and complements our efforts to support the XPEL network of installers around the world," said McAuley.
Jackson will join XPEL's leadership team with the view that his "experience and technical expertise will help XPEL accelerate the growth of our distribution channels," McAuley said. ss
