Wanhua, China -- Yantai Wanhua Polyurethanes Co. Ltd will introduce its innovative Wanthane polyurethane (TPU) series products at Chinplas 2010(Stand No. W3 N41) to be held in Shanghai, China from 19 - 22 April 2010.

The Chinese polyurethanes supplier said "these innovative products will show the excellent R&D strengths of Yantai Wanhua and meet the requirements of global markets."

Among the products on show will be:
    • Wanthane halogen-free flame retardant TPU, to meet the requirements of low smoke emission and non-halogen in mechanical equipment manufacturing industry, the electrical industry and the construction sector. This low=smoke range includes polyester-based and polyether-based TPU, with hardnessses from Shore 80A to 95A, tensile strength up to 20MPa and elongation up to 500 %. said Yantai Wanhua. It meets the requirements of UL-94 V0 (Underwriters' Laboratory standards), with excellent wear resistance, hydrolysis resistance and processing features. It is suitable for both injection and extrusion.

    • A new Wanthane holt-melt adhesive TPU for film extrusion and extrusion coating, with good cohesiveness to various base materials and a broad melt-temperature scope. It can be used for hot-pressure lamination and high-frequency hot welding, with good washing and dry cleaning resistance. It feels soft and is used in shoes, clothing and other fields.

    • Wanthane Super-Soft TPU, of Shore 65A, free of plasticisers -- a new grade for injection processing with excellent wear resistance, slip resistance and flexibility, says Yantai Wanhua. Soft TPUs may contain plasticiser and this is restricted by the Environment Protection Bureau. The plasticiser can slowly migrate to the article surface and mar its surface appearance and lower adhesion strength, the company noted.

International polyurethane group Yantai Wanhua Polyurethanes Co. Ltd had sales revenue in 2009 of RMB 6500 million ($952 million) with more than 2000 employees. It has several wholly owned subsidiaries and holding joint ventures all over the world, as well as five domestic R&D bases, a State Certificated Enterprise R & D Center in polyurethanes in China and one R&D base in the US.
