St Petersburg, Russia - Automotive supplier Johnson Controls has appointed Alexander Zaytsev as general manager for the company's Automotive Experience business in Russia.

Zaytsev takes over responsibility from Heinrich Fiedler, the former general manager in Russia who is retiring after almost 15 years with Johnson Controls.

Before joining Johnson Controls, Zaytsev worked for 13 years in various positions for a global automaker in European markets including Russia. For the past three years, he has served as the company's head of purchasing in Russia.

"We are delighted to welcome Alexander Zaytsev to Johnson Controls. He is a very experienced automotive executive with sound knowledge of this sector, especially in Russia. He will play an important role in bringing Johnson Controls' activities on the Russian growth market to the next level", said Bryan Gray, group vice president and general manager customer group Europe for Johnson Controls Automotive Experience.

Johnson Controls Automotive Experience operates a just-in-time assembly plant for complete car seats and a metals and mechanisms plant in St. Petersburg in addition to a seat covers plant in Togliatti.
