Harare - A report on www.newsday.co.zw says that TN Holdings Ltd has paid $280 284 to buy an imported automatic foam plant for its furniture manufacturing division. The aim is to boost TN Holding's capacity to supply beds, with the group planning to commission the plant in April 2011.
Victoria Mtomba's 19 Sept report says that TN holdings diversified into furniture manufacture in January by buying Tedco Ltd.
Mtomba adds that the new foam plant will boost capacity utilisation at TN Harlequin Luxaire's facility, which currently suffers bottlenecks in the supply of foam, and also in wire for mattresses, leather, hard and soft wood, as well as having to cope with frequent power cuts.
The report adds that TN plans to invest in TN Harlequin's spring-making and assembling machines in the first half of next year to boost its capacity to produce beds.
