Leverkusen, Germany - BaySystems Pearl, a polyurethane systems house joint venture for Bayer MaterialScience in the Middle East, is showing "environmentally sound system solutions for the construction industry" at the Big 5 trade fair in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, being held 23 - 26 Nov 2009.
BaySystems Pearl is working on new systems in the UAE that use environmentally friendly blowing agents to produce rigid polyurethane foam - such as its Masdar City project in Abu Dhabi, a 23 Nov company statement said.
The company is also promoting the use of its rigid PU foam in the region to insulate a network of pipes which pump chilled water to cool local buildings and offices, which according to Bayer is more efficient than running numerous air conditioning systems and will contribute to climate protection.
